    HP CP5225 50.3

I know this is a fuser overheat error, replaced the fuser, no change, checked the connector on the DC control bd, no change. The fuser is turning and the connector looks good. Anyone seen this before? The power supply had been replaced 6 months ago (damaged from surge) .
What are the possibilities that it could be the DC controller.
    Thanks

Looks like the fuser temp signal goes to the DC Controller, so that would be my first guess. The fuser heat signal comes from the low voltage PS. Did you change the low or high voltage PS?

    Let us know what happens?

Changed the Low Voltage Power Supply. I have ordered the DC Controller. I'll let you know what happens.

Replaced the DC Controller and no change. I have removed the fuser drive, it looks good. I am suspecting the low voltage ps which was changed may have gone bad.
        What a money pit.

Both fusers give the exact same error? It would be cool if you had a 3rd fuser to test against. Or another machine to throw the fusers in.

That would be great, unfortunately these fusers are over $200.

Are they gonna spring for another LVPS? I'm interested to see what happens to this machine.

Finally, got this POS repaired, it turned out to be another LVPS. Replaced the fuser, DC control board, fuser drive as well but came down to the power supply. Forget what the book tells.
