Re: Hp color lj 4700
How do you troubleshoot problems like these. well for starters, the machine has a comprehensive diagnostic menu that prints and test functions. did you look into this menu. One said fuser and the other cyan cartridge. I would go by the process of elimination. lots of HP techs out there, lets hear from you on this one.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burkeComment

Re: Hp color lj 4700
The problem is happening with all the colors. You can't see it as well, but the magenta & yellow both have spots on them. The reason the big blue areas are so bad is because both black and cyan are in that area. Since there's white underneath, it means it's not a cartridge... otherwise one of the colors would still be visible beneath the missing cyan.
It's a fuser.
Also, you can see, right by where the finger is, the yellow reappears.
It's a fuser.Comment

Re: Hp color lj 4700
Machine is not fusing, if you are using thick paper change the settings to card stock and that should take care of your problem, if not replace the fuser unit.Comment
