    HP 4345 Dead keyboard

This machine has a totally unresponsive keyboard. Buttons or touch screen, However it gets ready and will print. Is this a hard drive issue? The keyboard display is fine. Just unresponsive.

For what it is worth, you might want to make sure there isn't a stuck key on the control panel. And if the machine has been apart recently you should double check the control panel connectors.
Unless you are really unlucky, I'm fairly certain the hard drive has nothing to do with this. As far as I know, the control panel would be the least of your worries if the hard drive was bad.

I would probably start by replacing the control panel itself. Then the DC controller. Although, I'm assuming that the control panel plugs into the DC controller.

As mention earlier, check for stuck keys on keyboard. Next remove control panel and reattach the flat cable to the control panel, sometimes this works. Next reattach the flat cable from the control panel to the DC controller. If these steps don't work, replace the control panel assembly.
