Hp 2550l customer says they only changed the yellow cartridge and now it is faded on the right side of the prints. Tryed to change yellow cart. From another printer i have in the shop but machine will not accept it ( i guess the chip and the page count thing) i had this same problem with a canon ic mf 8170 few weeks ago with mag. Cart. (they are almost the same machine) never did figure it out the only feed back i really got on the canon was that it was a problem child with lots of issues. Like the name says i'm a copier lady! Any ideas?

yellow is probably going to be worse. First blow out laser scanner lens openings.
1. perform carousel alignment (easy) - check if cartridge arrows line up with arrows on printer.
2. Replace carousel bushing
3. replace carousel asm (lots of time required probably wont be worth it)Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment

Thanks guys the color tip helped when i looked closer i saw that the only thing realy missing on the print was black. When i checked the cart. It was bound up. Just a coincidence that it was at the same time they changed the yellow. (something the customer will never believe!) but there is also a yellow mess inside i have to clean up. Is there anything i need to know?Comment
