[Misc] Hp m1536 scanner lamp not coming on

Hi has anyone had this problem with an hp, the scanner lamp is not coming on when copying or scanning. Does the ribbon cable break on this model? Or its a dirty sensor. Any ideas are most welcome

Anything inside the scanner on these models is not spare parted. they are throwaway! If your skills are up to it you can get the scanner assy complete to change. 30 minute job. These are the worst models HP have released in years. Wish i had a pound for everytime i've attended a call on one of these.
