[Misc] Hplaserjet pro m1536 scanner lamp not coming on

Hi has anyone had this problem with an hp, the scanner lamp is not coming on when copying or scanning. Does the ribbon cable break on this model? Or its a dirty sensor. Any ideas are most welcome

It's not really old enough for that to happen, I think. You're probably looking at an entire new scanning unit.
