The little info I saw on the internet about this problem was an assortment of possible causes from the fan,to the toner to the formatter.Has anyone personally had this problem that can share their experience,

Error related to toner cartridge. Try another toner cartridge. Next, try reattaching the connection from the memory controller PCB to the engine controller. Next step, replace the memory controller, then the cartridge memory assembly.

No such assembly called a toner controller. There is an antenna assembly.

There is a cartridge antenna assembly and a antenna assembly. Both are separate units. I was referring to the Cartridge Antenna Assembly and the Memory Controller PCB that may need to be replaced.

Sorry late in posting solution.When I went to customer (the machine was unplugged all nite) plugged back in and problem cleared up.It has been 2 weeks and seems to be ok.

I'm not sure if this is still the case any more. Still, back in the day when at least some HP engines were made by Canon, unplugging them was a valid technical technique. The Canon power supply in those machines would lock up if there was a power surge to protect the other circuitry, and unplugging the machine for ten minutes (if I remember correctly) would make it unlock.
But that was back when the Canon FP300 (the printer for the Canofile 510 and a variety of Canon microfilm reader/printers) physically looked identical to the HP LJ 5 series except for the name plate.
