Re: Hp laserjet 600 does not take firmwar
If you mean it won't accept firmware from a thumb drive thru the port in the front, then you need a hard drive and redo firmware, instead of the card that's in there I've used a thin hard drive from a laptop and stuck it inside the case, same connector. If you're bringing firmware down from a web site then you probably still need a drive. I never did it that way on the 600's GOOD LUCK -
Re: Hp laserjet 600 does not take firmwar
Im not supergood withcomputer/network stuff, but Ive had to upgrade firmware, and the trublewe ran into, was the size of the usb drive, I think we had to have frmware on an 8g or less , size usb. also make sure the new firmaware is exploded on the thumb drive, it cannot be in a folder..good luck, mate, let us know what you find..thanls

It is actually pretty important that you read the firmware "read me" file before you actually start the upgrade.
I don't know how much this will help, but here's the English language version of readme for the latest firmware upgrade for that series:

This is how I do it. This is for if your coding and cant come to ready.
HP M602 Pre-Boot Walk-Up Method (USB) Firmware Install | Do-It-Yourself Printer Repair
There are other ways also using USB thumb drive in the maintenance menu. Or via Network.
I carry a Thumb drive it's much faster/ easierIzzyComment
