    black lines on P4014

This looks like a voltage short to me. I've told the customer to try a new cartridge, and am waiting to hear back. I'll end up going and looking for some sort of contact probably, but I wanted to see if anyone's seen this before. I'm only posting part of the sample he sent me because the document has other sensitive information. The rest of the document looks completely normal.

I guess the reason I'm thinking it's NOT a short is because of the way the edges are erased. A short or bad connection would generally go all the way across the page. The guy seemed to think it was only certain pages of his document, but that if he tried several times, it would print right.

It seems like the time I saw that before, the lines were unaffected by edge erase... they went all the way to the edge of the paper. Granted, on the right side, the lines start and stop at various places, but on the left, they go all the way until the laser erases them.
