    CM4730FSK Stapler crashing printer.

Today is apparently weird problem day. I was working on a HP CM4730FSK today and it has an odd problem.
It'll work fine on all things but one, when it's told to staple something, it'll staple it, act like it's going to push the stapled paper out, show Clearing paper path for a fraction of a second, then 49.4C02 error.
The printer is running 20141229 50.292.1 firmware. I'll be going back tomorrow to flash it to the latest firmware.

Any ideas on what this could be?
    Thanks in advance.

Just an update. I went out today with the new firmware and it didn't fix it. I was able to borrow a finisher from another CM4730 and it turns out it's just something wrong with the finisher.
I did try another staple cartridge also, but that didn't fix it.

Do you have a spare formatter board you can try? I have had this error state before(Not related to the finisher) and when i changed the board it rectified the problem.

I put the new finisher in today, and the printer is working fine. If I had to guess, there was probably something wrong with the board in the finisher.
