We have recently installed fifteen HP1312nfi machines around the UK at one of our customers and their IT guy hates them for their slow printing ,around 45 secs from sending to printing out and the fax often failing. I have never worked on this model but have been asked to visit and resolve the issues before they are thrown out. I was thinking of turning off ECM and maybe setting the baud rate to 9600 if possible .The faxes seem to be failing when receiving from a Canon L220 mainly but also sending to other HP1312s. I have also read that digital lines may require a filter for the faxes to work although some of these machines are in private homes ,not using a pbx system .As for the printing slowly I was thinking of trying a PCL5c universal driver as the one being used is a PCL6 bundle.
