    Laserjet Enterprise 500 M525

    Hi All,
    I have a customer that has a LJ E 500 that is all of a sudden prompting for a user name and Password to scan to network folder. I have entered the computers name and computer has no password so I left it blank. This customer is on a peer to peer network. How do I get rid of the User name and password?

      Sounds like the computer you are scanning to has password protection enabled. Go to the network sharing center and check the properties for password protected sharing ( on or off) You may want administrator permission befpre messing with these settings
