HP Color LaserjetCP1025nw Cannot remove cartridges revolver stops at the wrong

Hello guys,

Got this HP Color lASERjet CP1025 in the shop, the revolver gets stuck in the wrong position and to remove a cartridge (any) is almost impossible, got to push
the carousel down with my fingers to extract a cartridge, I have not dissassembled it yet as the customer is waiting for an estimate, not sure if
can be repaired or if it's something more serious. P.S. I can't make a print since the machine is stucked.

I've never seen one of those. Imagine... making a carousel machine in this day and age. Personally, I would tell the customer it's more than it's worth to fix.

Did you off/on with all units out? Even though it may give an error sometimes it can find true "home" position again without the extra weight or resistance.
Add one unit, close the door, and keep repeating. If with one unit in it's off and you cant put the second in, then chances are you have an issue with the carousel home position flag or sensor. If it acts up after all 4 units chances arethe carousel itself is causing too much drag. Doesn't take much toner on those gears to create drag.
So many moving parts in thise carousel machines..
