Scanner error 13, MFP 477

I have an HP mfp477fnw that displays a scanner error 13 when its powered on. I've done the hard reset and it's plugged directly into an outlet. I reseated the ribbon cables from the scanner to the board they're plugged into. I don't see any movement from the scanner unit and no exposure lamp lights up. It won't print any test prints. Thanks for any help.

Are you sure the display is showing scanner error 13??? or are you guessing a error 13 is scanner issue?
Error 13 are usually related to paper jams.
Error 30 are related to scanner errors.
What is the exact error message?

And yes, it's a guess. I've recently been forced to service these.

Have you reattach the cables to the scanner itself?
Does the scanner assembly move freely?

I've seen this before, the scanner is shot. Replace the entire unit, no parts available - Integrated scanner assembly (M477) CF377-60104. You can get it from Ed at Metrofuser 908-245-2100 X129
