hp laserjet pro 400 m425dn firmware question

is there any way to pull the firmware from the easy firmware utility

then transfer it to a thumb drive

then upload it to the printer...

my printer starts... then goes to a black and white hp screen then starts a loading bar and stops...

I am checking if there is a way to extract firmware and upload it to a machine that can't load into its basic menu...

its basically an initialization issue

figured a way...
on the formatter are two pins...
that say something like firmware update...
turn off copier
clip them together...
then start copier...
(make sure you have the printer networked via usb)
then do the firmware update via usb cable...
it will upload...
I get a fatal error 7

contacted hp...
they had no idea that this could be done...

I changed formatter and engine... no difference... booted to logo and froze...

they troubleshooted and recommended my customer buy a new machine...
