The drive appears to be working but I wanted to clone it just in case of failure. It has been about 8 years. I am having trouble trying to burn an image but am still trying. Does anyone have any tips for cloning? I am using an ide to usb adapter in clonezilla but I am having issues with copying an image of to a file. I only have 1 ide adapter so I can't try disk to disk. Even better, would someone have an image from a 1050 / 1055 hard drive? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work.

    Thanx

It is a very old method but if you can get a utility that can do absolute sector copying it is possible. I used to use Norton Utilities under DOS.

Hello! Sorry for reviving an old thread but i have a Designjet T975 with a hard drive making sounds and giving me 08.11 error. Does anyone have an image for this?

Edit: After hooking up the drive to a pc for cloning attempts its asking for a password as you guys have mentioned already, but where can i find one for that model?

Got it. This is one of the reasons I use a dock or clonezilla--a dock gets every single bit off the drive whereas software typically won't. This can sometimes mean the difference between working or not working when you put it in the machine.

is this possibly be the first firmware this machine was shipped with
if anyone want me to find certain files or folders on the hdd -
Be sure to keep a copy of that drive image if someone needs it.
