    HP M880 slow copying

We have supplied a fair amounts of these devices to replace canon IRA 5245is

We are getting lot of complaints that these devices are too slow. I have noticed on first copy (After being left idle for a while) that the adf will take its time to respond and lift.

Currently trying firmware upgrades at the moment. Also, when the device is in sleep mode and a print job is sent it will prompt the user with the message saying "printer offline." The user will then send a few more jobs and when this model eventually wakes up it will process all jobs.

Over all it just seems a bit sluggish compared to the canon. Is there any tweaks that i can do to increase both print and copying speeds?

I look forward to your input guys.

      Re: HP M880 slow copying

I have increased the time in which it enters sleep mode until 112 minutes and set sleep and wake up times from 7:30 am (wake) to 17:30 pm (sleep)

I'm finding that this is at its most sluggish when just out of sleep mode. Not good for energy but helping with getting clients off my back if it works.

      Any other ideas greatly appreciated.
