    HP DesignJet 500 maintenance message

    Hey all,

I have a Designjet 500PS plotter that I have just replaced the maintenance kit on. I have reset all of the eeprom counters, but this message is still showing ont he front panel. Any ideas on how to clear it?

    Thanks! Jeff.

What is the message? That will help in telling you what your problem is.

"Maintenance Advised" is the message that the plotter is displaying. I already installed the maintenance kit, and reset all of the eeprom counters fromt he service menu, but the message is still there. Any ideas on how to clear it?

Did you check if the spittoon in the Service Station is full? That can also give you the error message.

Another thing that can cause a non specific message is if the ink tubes are getting stopped up. It comes as a kit and if you can change a belt, then you can change this also. I think the kit is around $400 from HP.
