transfer rollers interchangeable?

So, i have an HP LJ 2430 that needs a transfer roller. i dont have one. i do however have a p3015 transfer roller. could i take the clip and gear off of the old 2430 transfer roller and put it on the new p3015 roller and will the machine work just fine?

you would have to measure them properly ...

find out the bias levels of each.

HP generally doesn't allow that type of crossover.
