I have a customer with a HP LaserJet M605 that is printing a light hue above each letter printed.
It shows up more the bolder the lettering. It even shows up on a horizontal line.
You can see just a light version of it, right above about 1/8 of inch worth.
It does it with different toner cartridges, MICR on checks or plain paper and regular toner on checks or plain paper
Although it is worse on check stock.
I replaced full maintenance kit about 70,000 pages ago with the swing plate assy too.
I did replace the fuser unit again and it seemed to be ok after that, but after I left, my customer said that it is doing it
after printing about 100 checks out then they are all doing it again after that.
I did tell them on their next multi page print job to try setting the paper type to heavy paper and see what happens.
My thinking is that maybe the fusers heat roller might be slipping just a smidge, but not sure.
Still waiting for them to do that multi check print run again and let me know if it goes away.
I'm not confident in that fix, since they have been printing checks with no problem till now. About 700,000 pages on the meter.
Anyone have any good thoughts?
