Hi All,
I had two HP OJ Pro 8720 with the same issue. Both of them were in service for about 3-4 weeks each
Error displayed below;
Problem
The HP printer kept displaying the error;
" The print carriage cannot move. Open the cartridge access door. Clear any Paper jam or obstruction, and select OK."
Solution 1
Replaced the inks.
I realised this sounds ridiculous.
however I swapped over the printhead and inks into an identical printer and it brought up the exact same error message which lead me to believe it was either the inks or the printhead.
I removed the inks. Discharged the printer - (removed power, press and hold power button for 1 minute)
powered On and the carriage moved into the home position and just complained about inks.
Replaced inks, tested ok.
Solution 2
Replaced the printhead and inks.
performed the same principle as above, only the printhead still didn't move after the inks were removed, printer discharge and power ON again.
I replaced the print head and inks.
Tested ok.
Hope this helps some of you out.
