I have a P3005DN lost the duplex function after replacing a new formatter board. HP has discontinue supporting this model. After couple day web search I heard something about sending some files to the printer to regain the duplex function. Anyone here know how to do this and what files do I need for it, please advise

I appreciate your quick response!. I did a configuration print out and it does not show duplex on it. Both boards had the same part number: Q7848-61006Comment

Re: P3005DN lost duplex function after install a new formatter board
Q7848-61006 can be either duplex on non-duplex, unfortunately.
IIRC - as these are ancient - NVRAM data is stored on both the DC controller and formatter in those (as opposed to the IOD you find on newer HP's). Formatter takes priority, so if you put a non-duplex formatter in the unit when you powered on it updated the DC controller with the Formatter NVRAM, effectively turning it into a non-duplex machine. I am unaware of any service mode function or PJL commands that you can FTP into it to change that. Not saying there aren't, but I've never seen them. Maybe someone else here has.
