    good evening

I have a problem with the hp pagewide pro 477dw printhead because it doesn't print well (parts and colors are missing)
what can I do to the printhead of these printers to get it going again?

    thanks to whoever answers?

If you are certain it is the laser scanner causing the issue you can either open it up and clean the mirrors, or replace it. A sample of the print defect would be helpful.

My apologies. I was on my first cup of coffee and completely missed the Pagewide portion of the model name.

Initial thing to do would be to run three full cleaning cycles from the maintenance menu, then do an ordered shutdown so that it caps the printbar, then let it sit overnight and then try it again in the morning. 50/50 shot of it recovering the nozzles.

ok already done but it didn't work
Is there a way to clean the head manually after disassembling it?

The last time I looked, there was about six pages of instructions in the manual to be able to get the printhead out. Even with printheads that can be removed easily, sometimes you can clean them by hand but there is no guarantee they will work 100%.

I know for sure that there are no guarantees. How do you suggest I clean it and with what products?

I never had the printhead apart, so I don't know if it can be easily done if it's all sealed up. Make a solution of alcohol and ammonia. Soak the face with the holes in it using cloth or what have you. Also fill a syringe with the solution and force it through the tubes. Sometimes it works. Then a few cleaning cycles done by the machine may finish it up.
