HP laser jet 4350 tdn counter going backwards at times.

Hi guys,
i thought i wrote the wrong count down.
i made a printout of config page.


came back a week later and the page count was 4 prints lower. but i made a few more test prints and then it actually had a little higher count.

so, i am not sure what its thinking.
i did question that the supplies page showed it had a maintenance kit 10,000 pages ago, but the rollers and fuser are worn.
i thought they didn't get a kit and someone just reset it.


but now, i am not sure.


does this sound like the DC controller or the formatter??

Is the latest firmware loaded? I have heard of this issue, but cant remember. Those are older maybe the firmware, then Formatter then DC controller I would think. In that order
