I have a used MFP M477fdn printer that I purchased from a government surplus auction, it had a messed up roller in the fuser so I rebuilt and regreased the fuser and now it prints beautifully! I am having another issue now though, where after printing 3-4 pages a message pops up on the screen that says "Output bin is full".
I checked inside the paper path where the paper comes out and the flap moves freely and isn't stuck. Took the fuser back out and I located what I think is the output bin sensor, but I'm not sure. It's labelled PS501, and the flap where the paper outputs has a part that passes in front of this sensor if the flap is up (ie. bin full). But I tried running the printer with that sensor removed (but still plugged in) so there is nothing obstructing it, and it still stops after a few pages.
Any other ideas on where to check for a sensor, or if this is the sensor should I start by replacing it?
