trying something on a 8150 laserjet

ok we need to print invoices directly from open office to the 8150
right now when doing invoices we keep paper stacked in the 3 colors
i want to know if we can simply set something up to print page 1 to tray 4 (white) then page 1 to tray 3 (yellow) and once again to tray 2 for the pink copy

try this on the pcl 5e driver...first page from one tray and the rest from another....and maybe a back cover from the other tray.

you are right....what application are you using to print the invoices...maybe there is a way to create some kind of script to print. (or shortcut)

I'm not sure how, cause I've never had to do it myself. It has to be done with either the driver or Jetadmin programs, so I always let IT department do it. We use ProSeries for our accounting/inventory in-house. They have the warehouse printer set up to print Packing List (white), Picking Ticket (white), and Core return form (blue) for each order. I would think it would have to be generated as 3 separate jobs, but it all happens automatically when the salespeople enter the order. Next time I see my IT guy, I'll ask him.

I'm not familiar with HP's drivers, but it is called 'carbon copy' with the Sharp printers. With Sharp's drivers you can select a different drawer for pick-up of the same printed page. Try this link and look at the second page with the driver image to see if this option would help.

yeah the driver setup thing see the print 3 copies as all being page 1 so i guess im looking for a caron copy feature or a program to multi send to 3 drivers and have the drivers tray locked
