    Error Code 59.03.00

I recently had an HP M404dn that was showing a error code of 59.03.00 after powering on. Another tech first replaced the fuser. Then the service call came to me. I replaced in this order M1, DCC, Connector PWB and LVPS. Only the DCC, M1 and fuser were new parts, The others were from a donor machine. After replacing the LVPS the error went away. Also after I replaced the DCC I contacted HP tech support for assistance, as there is not much info on the error online, either on HP sites or other sites. They did send me a link to a video of a similar model printer that had the same error code, and the problem was found to be a problem with a solenoid on drive gear, sprint and plate had come off. But this was not my problem.

Unfortunately, the printer was also outputting blank pages, even the print engine test. So I also swapped the Toner cart, HVPS, Connecting PWB and Laser Scanner. And was unable to determine what was casing the blanks prints. At this point it was decided to scrap the printer, and consider it BER (Beyond Economical Repair). The customer is now going to have an HP E40040 instead.

So the moral of the story is that error 59.03.00 can be caused by a faulty LVPS. We are speculating that the printer took a power hit and that's what took out the LVPS.
