    Hp m604 Reset Admin Password

    Greetings,

The Admin password for Hp m604 was changed and forgotten unfortunately. Is there any way how this admin password can be changed to factory defaults? or reset? I have tried cold resetting but it didnt work for Admin password. If there is a method through service mode or by using hp jet admin then please share...!

    Thanks

afaik this wipes everything apart from the meter

    1.Turn the product off.

2.Press and hold the lower right quadrant of the touchscreen. Keep the quadrant depressed as you turn the product on.
3.When the Permanent Storage Init. message appears on the display, release the buttons.
4.When the product has finished the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the Ready state.

    Ist result from google

This model is different. It doesn't have touch screen but numeric keys. Can you share NVRAM initialization for this model? It's Hp m604

      Thanks

        Hi,
power on the machine and continuing pressing the X button till the preboot menu appears. you can do two things.

1 is to go to administration and then partial clean - that will clear all user data but will keep the firmware intact
2 is to go to service tools and enter the service code and at the bottom you may see clear password or reset admin password.

Do this is at your own risk data can be lost.
