I have a contract client with 25 HP managed E60165 printers. All were installed between January and October. The 3 last installs all have a skew from all trays (1-5) where the right side drops approximately 1/16". Per HP, I replaced lasers, reg assemblies and shutters. Nothing fixes the skew. This machine doesn't have a specific skew adjustment per the settings.
Stop tests and paper paper path tests show the paper is feeding straight. The image is skewed.
HP sent 3 new machine replacements after all repairs didn't work. All 3 new machines produce the same skew, new out of the box. I then decided to walk and test all 22 remaining machines on 4 floors of an office building. All 22 remaining machines produce the same or worse skew on the same side of the page.
I tested from each tray on all machines.
The odd thing is that a couple new machines produced a skew after page one prints. Then the skew stays.
HP is saying the skew is within the machine range. But it's not acceptable for the client.
This model is identical to the M607-610 series. I have worked on and sold 100's of these. I have never seen a skew new out of the box. Only after the machines are put through heavy use where feeders or reg assemblies need to be replaced does this appear on a few.
Has anyone seen this before?
Could it be something within the managed licensing or software?
