Hello,
I got a HP Color Laser 150nw back from an applcation in the field.
It has printed just about 40 pages yet but doesn't erase the old image
on the drum anymore correctly. Ghost image in distance of 190mm, i.e. drum circumference.
Unfortunately, warranty is over by just a few month and the distributor can't help.
I could get a new drum unit at an acceptable price but I wonder, if this might solve the problem or just result in a waste of money.
Is anybody here faimilar with this problem ? Any erase lamp in the machine I should check ?
Or anything else ?
Couldn't find a service manual for this printer anywhere and I'm not allowed yet to request one
in the corresponding section of the forum (not enough posts yet...).
Would be a shame to throw the printer away even if any regular repair seems to be uneconomical.
I'm an electronics engineer and could also replace components on PCBs but without any technical
documentation of the printer location of the issue may be complicated.
So maybe anybody else already knows what might be the cause of this issue ?
Best regards
telyn
