HP is having me replace every PCB in the machine plus wire harnesses for this noise. Noise reoccurs after/at idle about almost 2 or 3 min. I believe it is a transformer noise on PCB LVPS or FDB-V1 when the heat kicks in for the fuser. Those components plus the fuser have been replaced with no change. Now HP is having me replace the Formatter PCB with harnesses (just ordered).
I think I'm on a wild goose hunt with HP. I am wondering if all of these machines do this. Sooooooo, I will send $10 dollar gift card if the first person send me a video or sound byte of this noise on a E877 series (colored front panels machine, mine is Blue). I'm not describing the noise, so good luck to the person who tries to send any noise to get the free gift card.
Let me know if you don't hear it on that model. I would like to know that also. I noticed it happens when the machine defaults back after a copy. I time it after seeing this happens and like clock work it continues with the noise every 2 min.
Anybody seen this?
