Hey all, I have one of these with a very low meter, it's doing something weird I've never seen before. You can make ONE copy, doesn't matter if you use the feeder or the glass, but that's it. You go to make another copy and the light on the scanner doesn't come on and it will just sit there kinda locked up. Obviously there is no problem with the lamp or cables cause first copy always looks perfect. Afterwards, you have to turn it off and back on to get another copy. Prints fine. I tried the cold reset, no help. Any ideas?

Re: HP m426 won't copy
How about printing from the computer or a usb stick, is it doing the same thing. Could be the fuser is not coming up to temp, may be bad or faulty fuser. Something to check, also check the error logs and see what it reports.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burke -
I have seen where the ribbon cable that connects the feeder to the main board has caused problems, but not this problem. Why would it not copy from the glass? It will scan it original (or attempt to sometimes) and then just sit there for a minute and then self cancel. So, whether feeder or glass, it will sometimes just not copy. I'm wondering if it's a main board issue. Cold reset is no help.Comment
