I have a Canon irc1022 that keeps asking for a new toner cartridge after every 6 copies. The engine is based on the HP Color Laserjet 3600. I have replaced the Dc controller and flashed latest firmware with no avail. I was wondering if you guys had the same or like problem with the 3600. Thanks.

not sure why you choose the dc cont. i would be more inclined to replace main cont.

The signal from the sensor goes through the sensor assy to the dc controller which is what gives the toner full/empty signal (page 8-15 of the irc1022 service manual). This function is not controlled by the main controller.

yeh sorry you are right. i will stew some more and see what i came come up with

Often my HP printer didnt detect the cartridge change (or fuser, transfert belt .... ) on my usage page its still the old item

i have to power off / on the machine to enable the change ....
