HP 4730

I have a HP4730 with a ? on the screen I don't know what the ? means and when you push hide the machine is in a pause state. I can't copy or print. If I try to copy the machine will scan but then nothing happens. I have no service manual and recently checked the consumables and replaced the cyan for action required with less that 900 copies to go to think that may have been the problem. Can anyone help me with this problem. Help!!!!
