    error code 30.125 - scan failure ?????
    need a little help with this one please
    any idea's or theories???

      Check the scanner lock, is it still un locked? Copy processor EIO card could be bad. Reseat the DIMM.

          Update the firmware, which you can download from HP.COM. If you have no joy change the formatter board. Cures most faults on most Hp machines. If the machine is less than a year old It is under warranty aswell

            not sure about the 4730 but HP has issues with flatbed scanners on all their mfp's. Try reseating scanner cable. Other than that replace entire flatbed scanner. please post a reply with what fixes it.

              From the service manual:

              30.1.25 = A general error has
              occurred in the scanner or ADF. This
              error is most likely a memory corruption.
