    Color Laserjet 3600n Calibration Issue

    Hp Color Laserjet 3600n

    i'm having a problem with the above machine where as the cyan is out of calibration by 2mm from the other colours after painfully waiting for it to do a calibration on warm up i've tried the following;

    replace the drum unit
    compress and clean machine
    swop the yellow and cyan drive motors with each other
    looked at it for a while
    and scratch my head

    i noticed the drum units get pushed out against the transfer belt i wonder if that could be the issue

    any1 came accross this b4

    Cheers
    John

      I have seen these machines have timing problems. Also there are some cams located behind the cartridges that will cause them to print out of sync. The plastic cams break rather easily.

            Do you know if any parts have been changed on the machine recently? There are some timing gears that need to be aligned specifically to make the colors line-up.

              the customer mentioned to me that the machine was ok until they replaced the megenta drum, not sure if that would cause cyan issues though, apart from that the machine has not been touched for a while

                All of the color carts are interconnected via those cam levers so I think there is some potential to have an issue created by the magenta cartridge.

                    once you've tried everything else you might want to try dc controller. I had one do that to me once, but usually its the misregistration sensor or the cartridge.
