    HP LaserJet 4300dtn

    Hello guys, i have a clients printer with me, Constantly shows jamming, and when inspected, changes the location of the Jam. it says jam in top cover, then when you open and close top cover, it says jam in back cover!! any ideas anyone>?

    Print the event log (from Diagnostic menu) and tell us what are the actual error codes. If you clear a jam under the cartridge, there may also be one in the tray that has been picked up. clearing the top jam and closing the cover will cause the printer to rotate motors to clear all sensors. this page then gets moved to the rear and causes a rear jam. Whenever you clear a jam with the 42xx/43xx series machines (or any other for that matter), verify that there is no jam in the fuser, at the delivery area or in the paper pick-up area BEFORE you close the top cover. these machines usually have 2 or 3 pieces of paper in the path during normal operation anyway. Any stop results in 3 jams with the indicated jam being first. The event log will give you specific locations where jams occured.
    Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
