HP 4250/Envelop Feeder QUESTION HELP. PLEASE HELP

    HI,
This is driving me crazy.I have ordered two Enveolop Feedes for Hp 4250(Sent from 2 different places who said they were off working machines).I put them on 2 different machines and have same problem each time. I get the message "BAD ENVEOP CONNECTION).I dont think either the enveop feeders or the machines are a problem in terms of malfunctioning.
    MY QUESTION
IS THERE SOME FIRMWARE OR DRIVER THAT I NEED TO DOWNLOAD TO MAKE THESE WORK? I thought they were PLUG AND PLAY.
AND YES: THEY ARE THE "B" Version feeders.
ANY EXPERTS out there to help with issue?
    THANKS ANDY

There are 2 different versions of the duplex units. One only fits 4200/4300 series and the other fits 4200/4300/4250/4350's. The ones you have are likely the former, which do not work on the 4250/4350's. I had a way to tell by the serial number, but I need to locate the note I have. You may be able to use search to locate the thread I posted to before on this subject. Hope that helps you.

Doh! Ok, guess I need my eyes examined. Sorry 'bout that. I wonder if it's the same. I wouldn't be surprised if it was. We've had issues with some working on 4200 but not on 4250. Additionally, they look like 4100 envelope feeders, so it's hard to tell the difference.
