Hello, I have HP designjet 4500 with this problem - it doesn't print anything. It gives ready, it starts printing everything but there is nothing on the paper. The printheads are OK, there is ink insight, I tested them on another ploter,I put a latest firmware and the same story - it prints white pages. Any Idea?

maybe a bad flat cable to the carriage ie slight crackingYou never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it....and
if this was an easy thing to do then everybody would be doing it! But it isn't and they are not!! -
Only prints white??!!
Print on black paper. Sorry, seriously though. Do an on-board internal test page. My first thought is the same as landspeeder, ribbon cable, check and reseat the ribbon connector first.Comment

the strange is that it does everything, first initialization, checking printheads, there is ink in the printheads, the air for the pressure is o.k., all the voltages are ok..... only that there is nothing printed on the paper....Comment

here's another possibility.
Check the front panel graphic language setting, usually set to default of "Automatic". Try another setting if its an HP/GL file you are trying to print, set it for HP/GL is its a PS file Try setting it to PS, then send print and see wjhat happens.Comment
