What is the most likely cause of this symptom, & how do I fix it? thankyou John S,

I want to say this error has to do with the toner carousel not turning properly. I would take out the toner and reseat each one, make sure there is nothing obstructing it from rotating. There should be a lever you will have to press to manually rotate/remove the toner while the power is off.

When you open the door for cart removal there is a slot you can stick a screwdriver into and this will release the brake so you can spin the toner carrasel. But I have not had any luck just cleaning the toner area and putting back together. Machine is getting up there in age. Might be time to upgrade. Taking the carrasel out of the machine is a major job also and that might be the only way to repair this.

I've tried a couple of times to repair this error, ,not for a few years now though. Like Mr Bill says, its a fair job to disassemble this thing and, in my opinion, is not economical to repair for the customer. Just sell them a nice new flat 4 style, ,no more clunky hulk on the desk next to them.
