a 4345 that when you turn on the LED "ready-data-attention" will flash alternately and the display does not report anything. no paper jams .what is the problem? hello thanks

An easy way to test if it's a formatter board or not is to remove it and boot the printer. These diagnostic methods are spelled out in the service manuals. You should read them sometime. Lots of valuable information in them.Comment

ditto manuals4you. Without the formatter the display won't come up, but you should be able to print an engine test to test functionality of the printer. If it works, more than likely it is a bad formatter. Are you seeing the heartbeat LED's on the formatter?Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment
