yes they are using generic toners, but they have been using the same brand on 4 of theese for 2 years, we got this error, they changed the cartriadge, error persists, i checked the contacts inside the machine, i dont work on a lot of hps, i know this error pertains to the cartridge chip, where do i go from here?

Take a cartridge from a working printer and put in the one with the error (if the have a second p4015).
If the error persists you have a problem in the printer. If not you have a couple of cartridges with bad chips. -
what within the printer can cause this? what should i look for?Comment

You can check the contacts not being in contact with the contacts. Reman cartridges are getting worse by the day! find a reman that is warrantied.Comment

yes unfortunatly they dont buy them from us, they should ours are warranteed, but i guess they would rather pay 3 dollars less a cartriadge and $128 service calls every now and then, thanks for your helpComment
