HP LJ 6L prints only one page

Hi all, I am having a problem with HP LJ 6L printer that it prints one page properly after that the paper jam LED (orange) continuosly glows even when the paper is loaded. Give another print it remains same until you either restart the printer or open the toner cover and close, printer initializes and prints another page.

Any clues on this problem please!

Is the machine in an actual jam condition? Do you have to clear an actual piece of paper or is it a false jam condition that just needs a reset once it occurs? It may be a driver problem. What driver and OS are you using?

Are all your paper path sensors clean and operating properly? Are you getting an actual Jam Code or message? Let us know if any or all of these things are present.

        6l Paper Jam Prob

No Paper Partilcles Are There In The Sensor. So No Physical Papaer Jam.
This Problem Is Happening In Test Print Also, So The Possibility Of Driver Being Corrupt Is Isolated. I Have Cleaned All The Sensors Thoroughly.

Hmmm... yes 9 times out of 10 it is the P/U Roll and Sep Pad... unless, you or another tech has already dissassembled this unit. I used to work in a more consumer related shop and used to have to swap these Roll and Pads all the time. Alot of time, I used to just not put the paper guides in the right position (I think they were position on the wrong side of cover so that they would not move), or not line the cam up properly for the kick plate and it would cause timing issues. But if you didn't replace the Roll. and Pad, you got to do it sir. These gravity fed units eat pads. If you need part numbers, just ask. Good luck sir.
The glass maybe half full, but less is more...

Sounds like the registration sensor arm (located after the pick-up roller) is worn. These printers have done a lot of work by now and the tip of the arm wears off causing it to return to home position before the end of the page. This creates a false page length when the end of the page is at the exit sensor.
