I'm trying to decide if i'm having a bad run on cartridges or if i have another problem causing this. 3 days ago, I replaced cyan and magenta toner cartridges for a CQ problem, while there the new cyan cartridge went from 100% (1345 pages remaining, 55 pages printed) to 6% (3 remaining, 56 pages printed) in the span of 1 printed supply status page, which I had to replace. They just called back with magenta cartridge empty that i just changed 3 days ago.
Is there any way to bring these counts back up or is the only solution once it thinks it's empty to replace the cartridge? Could this be a board problem? I know i can override and tell it to ignore the out of toner message and would like to reserve that as a last resort. (I've JUST finally got them trained enough to not think every CQ problem may not be a cartridge problem).
Is there something i'm missing?
Edit: for clarity, the toner cartridges i'm using are not OEM.
