    Mysterious issue with local printer

    Dear Printer Professionals,

I have a very strange issue with a costumer, that uses a local printer.

Their environment looks like this: They have local profiles, that they log on to, and a local printer installed. From the local profile, they access a terminalserver, via RDP. It is in the RDP session that all the work is done.

Problem: When they are printing from the terminalserver, everything is printed in "letter" format. I can't change the format on the terminalserver session, however, on the "local" login, it is set to A4 (which it should be).

If you need any more information (such as printer model etc), please tell. It would be really great if someone could point me in the right direction.

    Thank you.

It might be good if we knew what printer your talking about, what the trays are set to, and what the configuration page says the trays have in them.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

Already sounds to me that the terminal server is set to the wrong region which causes the change from metric to imperial sized paper.

See if this can be changed on the terminal server and that should fix your issue.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Thanks alot for your input, I will look into the regional settings, that sounds reasonable.
