im a pana tech working on hp 3800 w/ color shift on mag toner only , on supply status page aprox 3mm shift down on mag bar only?

Go to Diagnostics > PQ Troubleshooting > SELECT (isolates colors)
Go to Diagnostics > Print Diagnostics Page > SELECT (color registration check)
Perform 3 Calibrate Now's to see if the problem goes away.
Color Registration issues caused by:
1. Affected cartridge (single color)
2. Cartridge drive gears damaged (single color)
3. ETB (more than one color)
4. Damaged gears between image drive and drum motor (replace image drive)
5. Laser Scanner unit is defective
6. DC Controller is defectiveLife should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
