when i send fax causes machine to do a power reset. Activity log shows Power Fail and machine reboot.D'ont show any erroor.

This issue is well documented but HP has yet to address it. The only thing tech support will tell you is upgrade firmware. The fax PCA and formatter control the faxing function. You may consider trying to go in that direction. Haven't dealt with this machine much, so this is all the help I can provide on this subject.
