While changing the fusing unit on this machine I broke the Plastic power button and switch on the front of the machine. I was albe to get the little board wth the switch on it. HP tells me the 2 piece power button is not available (there is nat a part number in the manual). Would anyone out there have one or know where to get one. Thanks

This is where you learn the tricks of the trade. 5 minute epoxy will repair this easily, providing you have the broken part. epoxy is strong and heat resistant enough for that purpose. get an old piece of plastic break it and practice first. use little epoxy and make sure the epoxy does not run when applied. This should be an easy fix, also epoxy is very strong. I don't recommend crazy glue for this job.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burke -

Then you need to replace the right side cover RC2-6254-000CN.
I googled the part # and found a few sources.
Good luck

Yes. This is another of HP's latest, "we only offer 10 of the 3000 parts to this fuser" trick printer. Short of someone with a used one willing to sell it to you, your pretty much going to have to accept HP's, "we don't see that in our scenario of possible problems this machine could have." These are relatively new, it will not be easy to find one.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment
