HP DJ 500 premature M print head failure

    Hi

My HP DesignJet 500 is having premature print head failures . Each print head goes (only in M) after 20 odd prints. I have replaced 3 printer heads from HP . All were within their expiry dates.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

    thanks
    David

Based on your description , it sounds as if the printer is using the ink in the head and not refilling it from the cartridge. I would examine the tubes for leak or air bubbles. It you see air, use set up heads to bleed. Other than that, it would be the carriage that holds the heads and that will be costly.

I checked the error logs and found 2 errors repeated couple of times:
      79:04 and 86:01.
