    To be more specific this banding is usually caused by contacts not being cleaned and re-greased with conductive lubricant. Compatible toners rarely have any conductive grease, which is why they are cheap and also crappy, lol. Some remanufacturers don't do things right either, which leads to most of these defective issues.

    Ive been trying to determine exactly wtf on this thing;
    I replaced motors which did not fix the problem. Replaced the ITB and this also did not fix it. Found a post on how the pcr roller inside the toner cartridge causes it. I was using refills. Replaced the cyan and problem went away. Took me hours to figure this out. I now will just have to change to OEM's in order to solve this.

    There is a weakness with that motor (same part number for both motors). However, the problem can be caused by bad cartridges or a bad ETB as well.
